Do they make 3-valve heads for 5.0's? I'd imagine that would help out quite a bit for higher rpm power.

#28, they make 4-valve heads, but they are pretty much a race only part. |

#29, That's pretty cool. I wonder what the gains and the power/torque curves would be for an otherwise stock 5.0 with those heads. |

#28, The only 3 valve engines Ford produced around the 5.0s time were the MOD and Triton IIRC, and those were truck engines

#31, I didn't realize that they made 3-valve engines back in late 80's. I thought you were talking about the new 5.4-liter triton, which is a joke. |

#32, Well, they started making them in 1991 (late in the 5.0s life cycle) and they replaced the Windsor small block.

#33, nope, the 3-vavle is a new thing for the mod motors, they started out just as 2 or 4 vavle

#38, not really, the 5.4 is a mainly a truck engine, it doesn't need to rev high, it needs to make power down low, so really they should have kept it a 2 valve for the trucks. |

#39, If anything, they should have made it pushrod then.
Whatever, I'm just pissed at the new F-150's for being such fucking fatasses. Give me a ram anyday or even a chevy. At least then I would be able to haul a load and actually keep up with traffic :)
