well, i dont know if you've ever been in a Viper, but those speakers in the middle are actually only 1 speaker, and its an 8 incher for a reason - there isnt room for a bigger one. And, no one is a bigger car audio nut than i, but you have to hold yourself to some level of courtesy while in the car. |

#23, I agree with you and ive been a car stereo nut for quite a long time, and yes ive been in a viper, and even right now im looking at a picture out of my viper bible clearly showing the 2 stock 8 inch speakers, and i agree with curtesy, I love to hear loud crisp clear quality, and if your telling me that there is just one 8 inch speaker, you my friend are sorely wrong. I am a rediculous viper fan, and there is room for a bigger speaker, you just have to know how to do it, yes its a stupid upgrade, but i believe they are 8 inches for a reason, however im sure you know as well as i do that they make surface mount subs that wouldnt go back any further than those 8 inch subs, |

i may have been misinformed about the 2 speaker thing, i consulted cuda_man. I was sure i read something on that a long time ago. But, the fact remains... its not a question of depth, its width. Also, any 10" and especially a 12'' sub would need more cabinet space (if it would even fit at all) than the center area allows. An 8" speaker by any number of competent manufacturers, placed less than 3 ft from the drivers ear would be plenty. |

#26, yes but the depth problem is in the gas tank (plastic) so, if you wanna get stupid into the stereo, you get an aftermarket one, and i know where i can get that already, and you take out that center, move the wholes further from each other, port them in the middle, and then you are in the clear, i already know what i need and where to get it all, its possible and you would need to get some extreme high quality mids and highs to over compensate for the two 12 subs or 10 subs, i was thinking focal for the higs and mids. |

you dont have to put 'reply' if yours is the very next post, its obvious. and you are missing the point all together. An interior that is less than 20 cubic feet DOES NOT NEED 2 X 12''s. |

Plus, the 92's through 96's have very much outside noise, therefore furthering the want for loudness to cover up the unwanted sounds |

i understand that they dont have tops (convertibles have a removable top), and i also understand that 'good sound' as you put it... is not happening when you have those kinds of dynamics at play |

at right levels they will sound fine, as you already know, a great equalizer will fix it right up, oh and also, i feel bad for the viper owner on this pic, because not only did he need to fork out a pretty good penny for the speakers, he probably had to buy runflats, because where his speakers go, is also where the spare tire goes. |

Most likely for the 92 i will be getting the focal 10, speakers, they arent classified as subs they call them 10" mids, and they sound excellent, only thing is that they are a grand a piece, but ohhh they sound so prety |

#2, whats the point of having anything larger/more than a 10-inch sub? why do you need your car to shake and shiver every time the bass hits...most music was recorded with tight and punchy bass in mind, not this thundering shit that the ricers listen to |

Why the hell do you need a system like that in a Viper? The V10 under the hood sounds loud and good enough. |
