I guess I've never quite understood this fad. It's obviosly not about good sound or you wouldn't be putting it an an envronment such as a car that has so much outside noise. While I can appricate the technology, so many people that have setups like this seem to have zero idea that the rest of the world may not be all that interested in hearing only the low fequencies of thier music from 10 blocks away.

i have to disagree with you there....the only thing i love more than cars is music. I would not drive my car with a factory system for more than 2 days, it would drive me nuts! But i do see where you are coming from. Lots of guys build "boom" systems without respect to sound quality, but this picture shows what appears to be 2 x 10" subs..... well short of overkill.

I do too, maybe my subs are a tad too big, but I have also replaced the factory speakers with some Lanzars so it's not just subwoofers. What kind of system do you have 454Nova?

from top to bottom. Pioneer head, passive crossovers leading to MB Quart 6.5s/ fultron tweets, Alpine V12 amp feeding 1 x 12" JL Audio sub. I like it.

Nope not at all, I got a pioneer head unit too but I want to replace it with a Lanzar to match my speakers. I got some 2 way Lanzars up front, some 4 way 6x 9's in the back. My woofers are a tad extreme though. I got 2 12" Volfenhag subs powered by 2 700 watt Volfenhag amps.

i had 2 x 12''s...but one is plenty for good sound, IMO. the other will be going in the nova. ( all that stuff is in my daily driver, dodge stratus)

Looking at the subs they appear to be the top of the range. They have servos in them. I could be wrong but thats what they look like.

Looking at this picture, all I can wonder is "Why?"

I have 2 audiobahn 12's running from a 1600 watt amp...(turned way down so it puts out 150 to each sub) infinity kappa 4x6's and kenwood 6x9's. the amp is power acoustik and the subs are in a tuned audiobahn bandpass box. i sound dampened my trunk to compensate for the subtle lack of sound quality bandpasses produce.. it is louder than a sealed, with better sq than a normal bandpass setup. all this in my buick pos.

reply to # 12...they are decent..Eclipse subs, defintely not bad, but i heard they crumble after a while. i myself have no experience...they handle 1000 watts peak i believe.... plenty enought for that little box

im going to have a 92 viper in about 2 years, and i plan on boring out the stock 8 inch holes that are right in the middle of the 2 seats and replacing them with 10's or 12's im huge into stereos and i have a passion for vipers, and for the original poster saying that this viper has alot of outside noise, if you knew anything youd realize this isnt an RT/10, its a GTS... therefore, it is much MUCH more quiet. and as for your comment that you dont like listening to low frequencies from 10 blocks away, i have a bumper sticker for you... " Dont like my music, get a better stereo"
