#2, If it was any better resolution you'd probably see what a terrible composite it appears to be. I betcha that's a car on a wet skidpad with a coastal scene photoshopped rather badly into the background and a half-assed motion blur on the car body. I'm even tempted to call BS on the car color, to be honest... even that looks fake. :( If this were a completely real image, it would be awesome.

This picture looks like the one in Road and Track from 1992. The car is yellow and being slid around a skidpad for a "first test" of the new '93 RX-7
