I'd probably be fine with a B-series and a decent suspension; H-series is pushing it a bit. The goal would be to have something inexpensive, economical, practical, and suitable for daily use as needed--the Mustang is none of these things.

#16, civic with b18c1/5 or H22a swap is not bad. I'd day 3500 total for engine and swap. That would be fucking quick. My friend has a del sol with a jdm b16 and it beats the altima |

#25, Toying, at this point. I could pretty easily afford to buy a second car, but I don't have a particularly strong need for one yet (2-mile bike ride to work, yay!). If the Mustang gets finished and winds up being too rough for frequent use, I might spring for another car at that time.

actually, it probably wouldn't even matter that much what engine would go in...they are ridiculously light, so even a modded 1.5 would give it some kick |

#27, Seriously, stick with the bike for now. How are seattle winters? I know in vancouver much of winter is bikable. So if you can do the bike/walk/bus you really dont need a car. |

#27, cool. Although, bike riding is good. I walk to walk though when I'm in MN. Too bad it'll be fuckin' cold next time I go up there. Sounds like a plan Lemming. Right now, I could afford another car, and simply because of gas prices, I might need a smaller eco-car. Plus, my dad has been saying he'd get me a car down in KS, but so far, nothing has happened. We'll see. |

#27, All I really need to do on the "finish the fr0d" front, really, is do the front suspension (current plan is just coilovers, c/c plates, better bushings, and tower bracing) and wait for the SC. |

#29, Bingo. I don't personally know what the winters are like, but I'm told that snow is minimal. I can handle that. We've also got bus service from my apartment to the corporate campus. My only real complaint about the Rustang is that it's quite annoying to go out in the heavy traffic after work with it. |
