#2, But F1 is so immensely more popular right now than Indycar was before its split. No matter what happens, F1 or whatever it becomes will survive.

Take away the traction control, launch control and the other driver aids. Bring back the six-wheelers and allow turbo engines again.

Oh yeah, remove the speed limitation that is implemented during pit stops. I believe that no one was ever killed during the times when a car came into the pits at 100mph until it's stop. Bah, it's less fun but I guess it is safer.

#9, Same thing in NASCAR... when cars were able to fly down pit road at over 100mph, hardly any crewmembers got hit... but now with the 35-50mph pit road limits (depending on the track), crewmembers are getting hit left and right...

#8, Since there are F1 courses spawning from all sorts of obscure regions of this planet, probaly, yes. BTW... they should build a new one... one featuring a three-mile straight through a round tunnel. Then they could at least put that "at-200mph-enough-downforce-to-drive-on-the-ceiling"-bullshit to the test of manlyness.

How about a racing series that would have motorcycles racing against cars, and NOT in a different class (like in Baja and the like)... design the car and the bike to where they would run almost identical lap times, but of course their driving styles would be radically different...
