A Toyota Avalon pursuit car? Why don't we just have a Buick Park Avenue or Cadillac DeVille pursuit car? Better yet, a Lincoln Town Car pursuit car, that'll SURELY instill fear in those that might run from the law :P

#1, I can just picture the Lincoln Town Car used as a highway pursuit vehicle. The officer turns his lights on, but doesn't speed up to catch the suspect. Instead, he just goes 45 MPH in the left-hand lane with his turn signal on. In those odd times when a suspect actually does pull over, he has to wait about 10 minutes while the officer gets his oxygen tank out of the car..

#3, I've seen cop Tauruses before, I've even seen a few Intrepid SXT patrol cars too. I guess an Intrepid would make more sense because it makes about 250 hp and 250 tq, which is around the same number for the Crown Victoria give or take 20 hp, but I guess it all depends on which is heavier.
