Also, I should point out that the 260Z was one year only in the US (74), before the 280Z was introduced in '75 with a bored L26 at 2.8 liters and Fuel injection

Why? Emmision standards. The US 260Z is really the least loved because it is heavier then a 240Z, and actually produces less power.

I don't think I've ever seen a 260Z 2+2 before. Seen lots of the 280 2+2s and never liked them. I don't really care for this either.

It is kinda funny how, since the original S30 Fairlady Z's styling was partly cribbed from the XK-E, it followed the XK-E's path of getting worse with every refresh/update...
