Exactly. Subtle, tasteful modifications. It doesn't jump out and hit you in the face, it just looks nice and keeps a relatively low profile.

But why not tune a 405hp Z06 instead of a 260hp Mustang GT? And the last thing you'd want would be a fast car that looks like your average garden-variety mustang.

Ah, that lovely logic again. If you want to look at it that way, there's no point in doing anything to anything short of a McLaren F1. But a lot of people like to modify what they have. And some people just like Mustangs, and want the fast one that Ford (until this year) won't give them.

True, I just hate all Mustangs from after the Mach 1. I know I'm gonna get flamed for this but I have to say it. New mustangs are chick cars. Plain and simple. If a chick wants a ''nice'' ''fast'' ''car'' that looks ''good'' they go for a mustang.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you; I'm just saying they're not the only ones that are like that. Pretty much any performance car or car with a performance image has a low-end version for automotive morons who just want the image.

I wouldn't pay 40 grand for a mustang, that Cobra-R cost more than a vette but can't keep up with one. Plus it doesn't have no creature comforts.

But I suppose you could say that the Cobra is a stock Mustang with another twenty grand put into it. And you would have a pretty good point.
