Why oh why did GM axe the Caprice, look what they could have built, instead of the Aztek..... I know that horse is dead, but I"m gonna keep beating it untill you pry the bat from my cold, dead, fingers, bitter? YOU BET!

GM really blew it when the Caprice platform was lost, we lost a new Impala SS, new Elky, 4 door family sedan and a classic cop ride, all in one, it was a dark day

Its just too bad that Chevrolet gave the car this ute' would have been built out of the ax, this was the Chevy Caprice/Buick Roadmaster Chassis, they made good cop cars too! Axed after the 96' model year or thereabouts

So are your cop car FWD then. Or most of them.

90% of the cop cars on the road today are RWD Ford Crown Vics OR Chevy Caprices that haven't been retired yet, a few 4X4's too, Durangos and Suburbans, the New Chevy Impala is made in a police version, but it's FWD, and some Police Depts absolutely will not even CONSIDER FWD

It's drivin' me insane, about 1990 was the last great stand for powerfull RWD sedans in the states, Ford had the crown vic, Chevy the caprice and Dodge had the Diplomat, all V8 powered 4 door cars, did good buisness as taxis/police cars too.
