I think this is a Callaway modified 'Vette. Nice, if you've got an extra $100,000 lying around. And thats after buying a stock 'Vette.

Whats a 89 vette like. As there is one for sale for $16 000 near me. Im wondering if its worth it or if they where a bad batch or something. [edit] It might be a 81. Or an 86 Im not 100% sure.

I couldnt find info on a '89, but a '91= 5.7L LT1 / 300hp 330tq / 4x abs. $16,000. Average price in the states for a 89 is $10,000.

For 1986, the Corvette Convertible was back! To celebrate the convertible's return, Corvette again paced the Indy 500 and all convertibles were designated Pace Car replicas. The evolution of Corvette as a world-class performance car also continued with the addition of new standard 4-wheel ABS, an increase in maximum horsepower to 230 from its 5.7 Liter V8 and continued suspension fine-tuning. The PASS-Key¨ theft-deterrent system was also added as standard equipment on all models.

I wouldnt have that problem. The later modle vettes are rather rare over here so I think the prob would be trying to keep people out of the passenger seat.

If the car is an '81, you'd know by the styling. Look at car #1772 for an idea of what a '81 would look like (without the blower, of course).

'84-'96 all had the same basic styling. I haven't seen a pic on here of one, but you could probably find one on altavista.com in the Image Search section.

They pulled roughly .90 g's on the skidpad. Slalom was around 60 mph, 0-60 mph was less than 6 seconds, top speed was 150 mph.

This tood a while to find. It sure is hard to get information about these....people show these numbers for everything from Camaros to Cavaliers, but no one displays this stuff for 'Vettes.
