Well, I know CBS might be carrying some F1 races this year. I'm pretty sure every F1 race will be aired on American TV, whether it be on Speed or a major network.

I'm pretty anxious to see how the V8s change the game.

I'm not expecting them to sound any better; a flat-plane V8 is usually a pretty raspy-sounding beast. I doubt they'll sound quite like the V10s they were using, though, especially since there are some factors keeping the revs down a little.

So they're putting in a heavier V8, with 20% less displacement and a problematic vibration curve, but at least it'll have a better crankshaft. It's just more effort for the engineers now that the smaller engine can't step up the revs to fix the vibration.

theres alot of rules around the engine now, maybe that will help F1 be more competitive. as awe inspiring as the cars are, the racing is rarely competitive.

#13, Watch the Toro Rossa team, if they are anywhere near as bad as Minardi was (R.I.P., oh black knights of the end of the pack, I will miss you) they will make a real show. How many times can we get lapped before someone crases into us? How many cars will run into our oil slicks or parts of our cars?

The main fun thing with F1 last year was trying to guess, in advance, who Sato was going to crash into before the halfway point of each race.

I'm pleased that he's got a ride with the Super Aguri team this year; that's at least one guaranteed source of spectacular crashes.

#17, Variable intake systems(VLIM) are different from variable valve timing (VTEC), one has to do with the swirl and pressure of the intake manifold, the other has to do with cam lobes.

#19, Well, theres variable length intake runners, variable valve timing and variable valve lift. Then theres valvetronic which is BMW's throttle-less intake system that works in conjunction with all three to control fuel/air intake (throttle position)
