I don't know how the Canadian UPS works, but here you are in the union. That means that you have to know someone inside to be hired, and work as a loader/unloader for several years before you have a chance to put your name on the driving list; then it goes by seniority. So expect about 2 to 3 years to drive, unless you somehow manage to get past all that. If so, enjoy 32 dollars an hour and 50-dollar-a-month union/full benefit payments :P

#11, It doesn't work like that here, at all. I've got the interview for to be a driver and it's paid 12$ (CA) an hour for the first year, then 13.50$ the second and then 18$ the third year. I'll get you updated as soon as I pass the second interview on next tuesday.

#16, I'll give ya a Good Luck anyways, hope you get it. Just to rub it in Ambients face. (I think different UPS facilities may have different ways of doing things though) I have a cousin trying to get into one by us, he was working there for seasonal and he hasn't been able to get in full time for anything. |

#17, Thanks. Yeah well I was told that it can take 2 years to be a full time. I'll start out part time with 25-30 hours a week at 12$ an hour. |
