#7, No, it was actually a "WTF? When did this happen" type thing. My excitement comes from the fact that I should, hopefully, be getting a comp. dedicated for rendering soon.

A system dedicated to rendering is much better than just having one fast system todo everything on.
No need to worry about the render messing with what you want to do and you can still operate normally without slowing down the render.

The only game I play on my computer is Solitaire. My brother had a gaming rig with some decent specs for it's time, but it turns out the idiot he bought it from put the wrong motherboard in so he couldn't run Pshop or anything. After threats of physical violence he got a new one put in for free, but by that time he had decided to get a laptop and sell it.

6600GTs are around $130. I think what you're running is similer to the 5500 I had, mediocrity in PCB form :(
