I wonder how much it costs to produce and attach all those little pot-metal dealership badges. I guess it's an advertising expense but it's usually ugly and it seems like a sticker (a la Carmax) would be cheaper and easier. Dealers out my way seem to favor plastic license plate frames instead. Those seem to cost about $4-8 per car and can be removed in minutes.

My car has a black plastic dealer emblem below the "Nissan" badging on the trunklid... I think I prefer it to having a chrome dealer tag...

I also am bemused by having a "Gator Chrysler Suzuki" badge on my Nissan... just like my mom has a "Kelly Ford" badge on her Suzuki...
