#3, yeah, but this compo smacks of fanboyism. I am sure this will be a good system, but i worry if nintendo america can make this into a money maker. I'd love for nintendo to make it here, but I worry.

#3, exactly.
i waited over 3 years to buy a PS2 (one of the shitty 30001 models) because i couldn't justify the price. i'd actually play it more often if i could get through a whole game without any disc read errors. xbox? i never heard anything about the games - just how great the xbox was beacuse it could do nearly anything the fanboys wanted it to do with it's uber-power, excluding getting them laid.
screw paying for consoles. i'm off to play some old skool NES roms.
