The internet is the only reason you can see these anymore, prior to that, they NEVER saw the light of day on TV. not when I was a kid, and that was before PCism had them start deleting any and all cartoons that featured guns, dynamite and blackface humor in any context.

#21, I could've sworn that Cartoon Network played some of these back in the '90s at odd hours. I'm pretty sure that I've seen this one, and a couple of the ridiculous blackface ones, before, and that's the only likely source (I don't collect Disney or WB stuff, and I don't go looking for this stuff on the internet).

#22, I think Nick used to show some of the latter before the "Bosko ban".

#18, as young Canadian lad I had it too.

I had all the UnPC disney when I was young. Part of it was my uncle made cartoon tapes and probably just taped stuff without watching. Hell VIA Rail (Canadian Crown Corperation version of Amtrak with less crashes) even had Song of the South on it's experimental on train audio programming around 1996-7.

#21, Teletoon just showed a WB cartoon from the 1960's showing not only chain smoking but drinking to excess (around 7pm). This was on August 19th, 2006. Global used to show WB cartoons where the mouse and the kangaroo would trade places and fuck with sylvester's head, one featured a man drinking heavily. The only with sylverster in the lighthouse and the kangaroo/mouse BS ( "there's a moos loose in the hoose!") features sylvester downing a leathal amount of sleeping bills. These were on every saturday until about 1998.

#4, I think you got them mixed up. I remember seeing quite a few WW2 era WB cartoons with stereotypical tiny yellow men with slanty eyes and buckteeth.
