They also used a somewhat beat-up Travelall in that dopey long-dead Fox horror series Freakylinks. It looked like the one here, but solid white and with a body lift.
The characters always referred to it as "the Scout" in the dialogue (that always pissed me off), and it ended up getting broadsided by an 18 wheeler in one episode.

A guy that works with my dad has an olive green Travelall and a white Scout II. He lives in IL as I do and he drove his Scout to Alaska a few years back. That thing is a fucking monster. He also used it to pull out a bunch of bushes when we remodeled and it also managed to pull out his little bulldozer when he got it stuck. That helped solidify my opinion that Scouts are indestructable.

In the early Pacnio film "Dog Day Afternoon" Pacino and John Cazale's characters were driven to the airport in an International Travelall, I remember thinking it was a Suburban than not knowing what the hell it was.
