I don't see what's so "top secret" about it, considering the builder(s) apparently are advertising every part they have on it. Maybe even a few they don't. |

I realize "top secret" is the name of some dumbass skunkworks or something where they boost their cars so some ungodly level and then slap each other on the back like they've actually accomplished something, I was just remarking that the name is somewhat ironic, considering there doesn't seem to be anything secret about it. |

#6, Top Secret are one of the biggest Japanese tuning firms around. Yeah, the name is ironic, but it's just the name. And as far as modifications go, they're close to the best around. So they're about as 'dumbass skunkworks' as Lingenfelter or Saleen or what have you. |

#7, Just a dumbass skunkworks to me. I might take it seriously without all the damn decals, but it's crap as far as I'm concerned. It's the sort of thing that riceboys dream about, and try to emulate.
Considerably less tasteful than Lingenfelter or Saleen, not that I'm really a fan of them, either (especially not Saleen, except for the S7, which I freaking love). |

In my opinion, any after market company can put out a kit that includes a blower, some suspension goodies and exterior dress-up pieces and claim to have as much prestige as any other around. For the right price and a good enough base car you can have 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, 1.0g on the skidpad, 500+ horsepower, adjustable dampers and sharp looking powder coated wheels. Look at suppliers like Saleen and Roush for example, both companies produce performance packages for S-197 Mustangs, both packages come with different "levels" or "stages" depending on performance, and both can cost in excess of $15,000 on the original MSRP. If you've got the cash you can order a helluva quick car; and in essence that is what takes away the soul of car modification. What everyone considers the "best" can be different, it's all in the eye of the beholder, or the guy whose willing to spend extra for the powertrain upgrade. |
