Description:
I've become really interested in Mazda 3s lately, for some unfathomable reason.

For the hell of it after leaving the bank the other day, I stopped at the local BMW/Mazda dealership. The Mazda 3s caught my eye, and I was pretty impressed. They look pretty good, and have very nice interiors for the price range (the ones on the lot all seemed to be $17-$18k). Unfortunately, all were automatics, but the dealer (who naturally walked up as soon as I stopped there) told me he could get a five speed car, no problem. I'm trying to figure out if the cost savings and extra fun of the manual would be worth the destination charge (I'm thinking yes).

I don't think I could afford one (they cost more than I make in a year), but I'm still taking notice every time I see one on the road now.

We have one, and it has almost 28k on it now. It's a great car, 5 spd, 5 dr hatch. Cruises fine at 80-85 no problem. The interior is awesome, and the front is extremely roomy. :) I love it. It feels new to me still.

Neat cars, you could probably get an 04 for about 10k or so.
