I think why people drive so crazy with a Mustang is because they are fast enough (yes I do admit that Mustangs are fast cars) to drive fast, but they are cheap enough to buy and not give a damn about apprently. Base model Mustang is (well was) only like 1/3 the cost of an F-body.

not all mustangs are fast, the GT's are and the SVT's and the SVT Cobra R and the Bullit's

there is a guy at my school with an apparent Saleen 281 (rims, body kit, stickers, everything), but he never ever lets anyone look under the hood. So one day while we were on break we popped the hood, only to find a 3.8 V6 LOL :D

Yea...same thing around here. This girl drives a Saleen 281. Sound like a freight train is coming by whenever she drives it. But it's fake as fake can be.

That sounds like the guy at my school that had this old beat up '86 Chevy S-10, and he never let us look under the hood...and when he was out at lunch, we looked under the hood and found a Chevy SB 350...

(kinda an opposite situation though)

I've always wondered if a Supercharged 3.8 V6 from the Bonneville SSEi would fit in my Cavalier...it probably wouldn't, but I guy can dream, right?

You could try. There was a guy who put one in an ealier model Lumina, but they have a larger engine compartment. How bout the 3.4?

Yea...you dont need that. Your front end would be on the ground though. The 3.8 isnt a light engine.

Meh...I'll just stick with my Iron Duke 2.2 L. If I want a car that can go faster, I'll buy a faster car, rather than just sinking money into an economy car.

You could make it a sleeper.

Well, at least you have 2.2, I only got 1.8 in my honda, having a car that displaces less than a large bottle of Mountain Dew is total ego death, just wait untill my 383 SB is ready! And no, it's not going in the honda

Yeah, the Cavy 2.2 is one of the largest 4 bangers out there, and it's also a long stroke engine (I believe)...which means it has quite a bit of torque for a 4. It feels like it's accelerating much faster than it actually is.

The clutch in mine is so worn out, whatever acceleration I get scrubs off before it gets to the wheels, I can only accelerate in 2nd gear, or If I can find a hill.......
