Description:
way too easy, but name it. I saw one at the junkyard today, almost bought it, all it
needed was a front clip and radiator. turbo, too.

I don't like this particular one, but for some fucked up reason, I was always strangely attracted to these.

A Daytona? What would you have done with it?

I dunno. it was even the turbo/awd version. just needed a front bumper and radiator. didn't have the cash on me, though. it'll probably be gone by the time I find time to get back there...

hey, I would have been the only guy on the block with one, and those 2.2s are bulletproof...

So what is it?

Turbo / AWD? Hmm, some potential there... might be worthwhile. I stumbled across a kickass project car myself today... all-original, unmodified, unrestored, just-pulled-out-of-a-barn Ford Model T Roadster. You know it's gotta be rare to find one of those that hasn't been rodded out. This one appears to be solid and complete, too... too bad I have no idea how to work on one of those, no money to buy it, nowhere to store it, and would go insane trying to keep myself from hot-rodding it.

I mean, it could just as easily have siezed up or fried all the ring lands, but all that I could see was the front clip. it even looked to be painted recently. oh well, I really don't need another car right now, but I'm gonna be on the lookout now, it's something nobody's really done, so I'm interested.

But what is it?

True, you don't know what the mechanical condition is on something like that... I'd check the classifieds, find one that you know is solid to start with. That would be a pretty cool project. I mean, NO ONE respects those... not ricers, not domestic guys. You could shock the hell out of EVERYONE if you got a Daytona running.

Dodge Daytona. Looked cool, power mostly sucked stock. FWD or AWD, from what I gather.

dodge daytona, cerca the late 80s, when carroll shelby started working for chrysler. you probably never got them down there. they're a discrace to the nameplate, but decent cars in their own right.

worked much the same as the later talons, NA FWD, turbocharged FWD, or turbocharged AWD.

Thank you. So now I know. You would be doing this up like a nice looking sleeper then?

Oh, BTW... I'm pretty sure this has had some serious custom work done on the exterior. I can't remember them ever looking THIS cool.

AWD especially, and from what I hear, a lot of this stuff can be replaced with stuff from later Talon TSis...

different hood, wheels, and blackouts. the rest is the same. maybe a bit of retouching on the front facsia. I'll try to find a stocker.
