Description:
1969 Corvette ZL1s. These have long been assumed to be the two original ZL1 Corvettes sold to the public....but are they really? Controversy and conspiracy to follow.

#4, It's probably been crashed. The fate of many high performance cars I'm afraid. It also could have been converted to a race car, which are often subjected to major rebuilds. So now it may have different body, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, half of the frame, etc. etc. Or it may have been destroyed in an accident.

#23, Yeah, it literally could be anywhere by now, scattered in a million little pieces. Or sitting in some old yokel's barn in Wichita Kansas. My rational mind tells me it's probably destroyed or long since wasted away but there'll always be a little piece of me that will believe that it's still running around out there, like the proverbial phoenix.

#25, Well, there's always a chance that it's in the hands of someone who has no idea what it is, but keeps it running as opposed to dumping it in a forest clearing to rot. In that case, however, I doubt it's in original condition. My biggest bet would be that the original engine was replaced by something else as it usually seems to be the case with old/classic cars.

#12, I wouldn't want the 1983. Wouldn't be able to go to sleep at night.
I'd just sell it to GM.
