Description:
Phase 1 Renault 11 Turbo.

We are in the mid eighties, the engine is a OHV 1400cc C3J with a single carb and a small turbo, the power is 105hp. Not bad for the time, IMO.

I like this car. First, I like the body design. Second, and this is the best, it looks almost 100% the same as lesser 11. Phase 1 was more of a luxury car than a racer (0-100kph in 9 seconds, top speed of 186kph), even turbo badging was small and sparse. Phase two was packed with plastic trim and offered in bright colors, it also had 10hp more but was hardly any faster. If you wanted real performance (and quick death), you bought the 5 GT Turbo.
I'd sure like to have a mint phase 1 11 turbo for a daily driver.

One of these crashed outside my cousin's house many years ago.

#2, You got the turbos?
And, yeah, it has the same rear suspension that ranks highest as far as old French car fatalities are concerned.

A nice page outlining what to do not to die in an old French car. With pictures showing how do you actually die (the sequence with the car going sideways into a low stone wall), in French:

Can anyone tell me how to translate it? I need it, my car handles exactly the same!

#5, Cancel that, I've put Babelfish to use (for the first time in my life... and dman, do my eyes hurt) and it's not that crucial, but still a good refresher. I run another rally at 8th you know.
