#2, the bitch tried to tell us they were closed, when in fact they weren't and she made a stink out of us taking pics. It was a classics renting place with Cudas, Challengers, two Camaros, and an F355 and some other hotness. We went across the street to the Mercedes dealer, whose people/employees were very nice. We came back from the Benz dealer, about 20 min later and the rental place was JUST CLOSING THE GATES. Stupid bitch didn't appreciate the fact that we loved the cars. Fucking 40 yr old (probably) virgin

#3, Women and cars don't always mesh, but this lady sounds like a real cunt on wheels.

#4, she was. The Mercedes people were nice and asked if we (jokingly) wanted to buy one. They even laughed at us making fun of the GL class in the showroom. :)

#5, Not suprisingly, luxury dealerships will practically do everything except massage your feet to get you into one of their vehicles. No one wants to give 70K to a dickhead.

#6, not so. The Lexus dealers here are assholes. They told me to "GIT OUT" because I wasn't looking at buying a new car. Fuckers :(

#7, Some places can differ, I went to a Cadillac dealership with my buddy and when we explained that he was doing a drafting project based on the (then new) XLR they were more than happy to accomodate us, we even got to sit in one. And it's true that some places can be dicks but I mean if you just walk in there with grubby jeans and a T-shirt then they'll probably just assume that you're some looky loo and act accordingly.

#9, Yeah, if you dress nicely and purport yourself in a professional manner then they'll be more receptive to you. But it's not like I go into new car dealerships alot, I came >< this close to financing a Mustang a couple years ago when I had my crappy but lucrative drafting job and that was probably the last time I walked into a dealership and really talked to somebody. Otherwise I'll just swing by a used car lot and check out whatever their specialty item is then book before I get the sales shpeel.

#10, yeah, for me, I look online to see what's there, and then head to it to snap some pics, and if I don't see anything extra-ordinary or OMGSWEET I don't go.

Last time I walked onto a dealer lot with my dad, I set my stopwatch and waited for a salesperson to ambush us. Guess what happened 2 minutes and 7 seconds later?
When I walk onto a lot alone, it's almost always with my camera. The salesmen give me strange looks until I show them that I'm a college student.
