Ah yes...the 911...it was such a beautiful car from this year to 1998...

When the 996 replaced the 993, I kinda lost interest in Porsche...still nice cars, but the 993 and all previous 911s were artistically and technically beautiful...the 996 was just Porsche conforming to the rest of the industry...

Off Topic, but Boris Said just qualified 10th for Sunday's Winston Cup race! That's pretty good for an independent only running one race this year!

Hey, at least our entire self-image as a nation isn't tied up in our performance in some soccer tournament every four years, unlike some countries (coughcoughBRAZILcough.) And if the Germans give us crap about beating us, we can threaten to firebomb Dresden again until they shut up. Or was that the Brits who did Dresden? Oh well, the poitn remains the same. Plus, our college teams in baseball, football and basketball could beat any pro team from outside of North America. [jingoistic, overly patriotic American mode] Soccer is "the world's most popular sport" because it's the only sport popular worldwide that we don't totally dominate. If the germans do give america crap about beating us, we can say you only beat us by one point, america was the crappiest team a few years ago.

The new 911 are nice to drive (I drive my dads every chance I get), but they are sort of touchy. The transmission feels weird too, but all in all its just fun to stomp on the gas and watch the scenery become a blur. Plus I love the badass sound it makes at full throttle, goes from sewing machine whine to Jet Engine roar in under a second.

I don't think so, far as I know they just made the Turbo. No S, that pud just got bored and decided to deface a beautiful car. I may be wrong on this, but I doubt it.

Personally my favorite Porsche was the 911 Slant Nose.

Ya they are, but so pricey. Id rather get a new Maserati Coupe. 400hp V8, $89,000. Built by Ferrari and comes with a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. Which is good for Ferrari.

True, I was looking for a fender bender car, like in 6912, all it has is a missing front bumper and headlight issues

Yea, but it would still be pricey, and if the frame was warped...

I went up to the Ferrari dealership the other day to poke around, and there was a nice 355 that was missing the front clip. Looks like the guy hit a curb... thats probably gonna cost him as much as my car is worth.
