Has it been lowered, or is that its normal ride height?

#3, Given the adjustable suspension so many Citroens have, I wouldn't be surprised if this car hasn't been modified.

That is just the suspension at its lowest. It is a gashydraulic system on these, and when turned it will slowly begin to sink to this position, depending how big the internal leakage is. Beginning with the C5 they have anti-sink valves in the suspension. The suspension has usually 4 different ride heights, this one and the very highest are only for use when the car is stationary, where the highest is to be used when you want to jack it up. If you jack it up when in normal ride height the car will sink when you lower it again, in the highest the suspension will be locked. Then you have normal ride height, and the high ride height.

#5, I'm pretty sure I saw an XM with a fluid ride height adjustment??? I'm aware of at least 2 or 3 versions of this suspension, the top spec being fully active with sensors even in steering and throttle.
