#3, Meh.. really nice in traffic and highway use, but it sucks when you're backing up or going up a hill.

oh god i HATE semi truck automatics. spent time in the rockies with a 13 speed autoshift mated to a 450 horse cummins in a freightline cascadia bunk truck. they transmissions shift so slow its unbearable. and i hate how slow it takes to shift in urban areas.

#5, Well, as a fairly new development in the heavy highway truck, I suspect that automatic transmissions will vastly improve as time goes on. Look at the old, clumsy and inefficient fuel injection systems and how far they have come...Hell, we hardly see disc brakes in these things yet but they are coming down the chute, too. Just takes time to develop this stuff in a new application.
I gotta admit, the one time I drove a truck like this I wasn't even aware of this system and it took me about 10 minutes to even locate the little gear shift handle.

How's it like to drive something this big in snow? I imagine it has good grip but once it loses it you can damn well eject?
