*Jumps in and spins the key...305 starts with no hesitation and only a little white smoke. Radio comes on on startup, playing "Shattered Dreams" by Johnny Hates Jazz. Throws column shifter into "D," punches the accelerator, and muddy right rear tire spins freely, kicking up gravel as the car lunges forward. Lays right arm accross the bench seat, steers with left hand, and hits the road.*
I don't know why, but that image was really vivid to me on seeing this picture.
