Needs a 2.2 liter 16 valve conversion with sidedrafts, a decent performance airbag suspension, and 15 inch BBS wheels (no tire stretch). Then repaint it a nice jade green.

#3, a suspension that helps with cornering, ride-leveling and such. Not all "airbags" are for the homie-wit-da-tight whip type. Infact, most of those guys don't really use airbags anymore.

What RRB said. They seem to be the suspension of choice for old water-cooled VWs at the moment, with several different kits available.

#4, Still doesn't match my idea of 'performance suspension'. Never heard of Nivomat, Hydrolastic, Hydractive, etc. being referred to as 'performance' either.

#7, This is new for me, even though I have heard that Citroen XM kills cars half it's size and weight in a slalom.
