Angry-looking little spud, isn't it?

I hope it does well on the track and the market. As GM's new "world car," the Cruze has a lot riding on it.

I hope Europeans like it more than the Lacetti. I actually prefer the Lacetti's styling, though.

I wonder if this will soon be Top Gear's Reasonably Priced Car?

#3, Lacetti was based on the Nubira and that alone might have been a factor. All in all I think there's two groups of people that won't buy a Chevy. First is the one that knows the close ties to Daewoo, the second one is oblivious to Chevrolet in general or/and they cannot fathom just how can the same marque that makes Corvette and some low tech, useless, shoddy downsized boats (hey, that's the popular view) know anything about designing a good Euro-style compact.
In other news, despite the change of technical regulations Seat with their TDi engines absolutely raped everyone else at the Curitiba race today. Guess whoever said that cars with forced induction and twice the torque should be banned was right.

#4, I also love the way Seat have 5 cars in the championship and during the qualifying, they all slipstreamed each other and in doing so, secured the first 5 places on the grid in the race. Also, who on earth would have thought Lada would be in the WTCC? Thing is their car looks like it came from 1992. Probably older though.

As for the Cruze, it looks like it shares a lot with the Insignia which can only stand it in a good light.

#5, The 110 continues the long tradition of Soviet/Russian cars that have the world scrathcing their heads or outright laughing at them. The engine the WTCC 110 uses is basically a Kadett GSi unit (modified, of course). Also, the 110 went from S1600 (failed, too long) and S2000 (cancelled) hatchback prototypes to this.
