Tow hitches were all the rage in the '70s....people used sports cars to tow skiffs and stuff.

I've seen people towing boats before with MGs. That can't be practical.

Considering the kind of people who bought these cars, he was probably towing a small bass boat or maybe a dirt bike/atv trailer, I'd just never do that, it's like using a Thuroughbred racehorse as a pack mule, I'd rather risk it with a truck

this was in Japan, so its a Toyota, just a common family car thats pretty cheap too buy.
