Come to think of it, I *think* I have a picture of my mustang peeling out with the CRX on the trailer behind it. If I can find it, which I doubt, I'll scan it and post it.

Too bad they made a luxury class on all the nice Toyotas, because of that Lexus badge, americans pay an extra 20-30 grand, Mazda almost made a Luxury brand back in 1994, but canned it. That would of made the Mellina (Sp) a expensive luxery car, meaning more rare and more wanted and more money

Hard to believe Lexuses (Lexi?) are sold in Japan as simple Toyota. BTW, how is Altezza pronounced? I always give it an Italian pronounciation, ie, "Al - TEASE - ah", but I always wondered is it actually "All - TESS - uh", or something like that.

The funny thing is that the Toyota Altezza came out back in 98 or 99, I was in 7th grade when I saw my first one. I said to myself "They need to bring that to the US, but not as a Lexus!!!!"

I like how they had to invent the acura brand because no one here would pay that much for a honda

A friend of mine beat a ricer once with his 1976 Buick LeSabre 455 while towing a trailer. I tweaked the carb a little and we upgraded the exhaust system and changed the rear end gears to a 3.41 ratio.
The 455 was stock. Now that's torque.
