The second I saw this car, that song "What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)" by Information Society popped into my head. I mean, it's just SO late '80s/early '90s.

I can picture this on a 1991 summer issue of Car Craft or Hot Rod with the tagline "IS THIS THE BADDEST TORINO YET?"

#4, The Barstow has always reminded me of an AMC Marlin combined with something else I couldn't quite figure out. But I think you just nailed it.

#5, Heh, I just assumed right from the get go that the Barstow was a full-on Torino fastback doppelganger... Marlin didn't even enter my mind...

#6, Speaking of which... the Bruckell LeGran... everyone else sees Buick Century/Chevy Celebrity, and I can sorta see that, too, but, for me, it also brings to mind various bits of the extended-K-car Chrysler platform... LeBaron front-end, and the "Sport" version totally reminds me of the Spirit R/T...

I'd say the LeGran is a Ciera primarily (it even has a logo similar to the Oldsmobile's, similar engine options, and an identical interior line-up), with a Plymouth Caravelle front clip and 1990-1997 Lincoln Town Car taillights.
