Looks kinda like a crazy bum you'd see wandering the streets, screaming about the GOV'MINT! and ALIENS!

I just want to hop in it, let the window down, hang out my arm, crank up "Stand Up" by Prodigy, and just tool around the old neighborhood.

#3, I actually did crank up that song after reading your comment. I can picture you getting the old boat sideways around corners, the inside tire lighting up, chucking the rusted out muffler across the street with a particularly violent flick of the wheel. And of course, this song blasting through the blown-out factory speakers as you smash garbage cans.

#8, You made me bring up that song... hadn't heard it in a loooong damn time... and holy crap, I can totally see it.

Don't forget periodically jumping a curb/crest in the road, bouncing up and down with the creaking, worn-out suspension.

#8, To me it's more of a slow-cruising, arm out the window sort of song. More "spirited" driving would be set to Ministry's "Jesus Built My Hot Rod."

Looks like a still from a History Channel show about urban decay.

#13, I'll be honest... I love AMC, and I have a history of being a massive Mopar fanboy... but the Chrysler buyout was a total pirate maneuver... all they wanted was the damn Jeep, the rest of the fleet was plundered and sunk. (Ok, so, maybe the Medallion platform paid off for them in the '90s reborn as the "LH" platform...)

#14, Yeah, kinda like how GM did Saab in, or not quite?

#15, GM really didn't get anything from Saab... they simply used the badge as another outlet for their European platform-sharing (and, later, horrible, turrible sharing of the GMT360 platform)..

...though, at least we got a pretty version of the 2nd-gen WRX out of the deal... shame it didn't sell in large numbers.

#16, I thought GM wanted Saab for their safety/crash protection? Or is that just something in my own head? I'm still pissed about the death of Saab :(

#17, Saab's hyper-attention to safety is actually what finally got GM to pull the plug... GM would give them an Opel platform to build a car on, and Saab would spend massive amounts of money adapting it to their own needs, including the enormous safety-induced re-engineering, and they always ended up losing money.

Maybe GM got some access to a few patents here and there, but, based on their recent ignition switch debacle, I get the impression that safety is nowhere near job one for the boys at the Renaissance Center.

#18, Well, at least the GMC Terrain is safe, but as a whole, yeah, I bet you're right.
