Well, in the early '80s, the Tercel was the only FWD Toyota in the American market... those were good days for the brand, methinks.

...I'm trying to think... other than the Celica and Corolla FX, are there ANY desirable older Toyotas that are FWD? All the older Toyotas that people pine for, they're RWD or 4WD...

...well, ok, maybe the fans of fuel efficiency and simplicity pine for Tercels and Paseos (and that includes me to a very small extent actually)...
