The Goggomobil is positively adorable... especially compared to the 'Burb.

The Goggomobil was one of those "bid once and see what happens" items. I've bought a few models that way over the past year. The blue one was released in 1998 and is, as far as I know, the initial release. So scoring one for under $10 wasn't too bad. :) Only problem was the box had been opened and the car previously displayed, so its value was lowered enough that I was ok with opening it. The Burb was kind of a bummer. I reeeeally wanted the mythical black-painted ERTL release with 4 opening doors, but Uncle Chester's Toy Trucks ran out of stock the day before I was going to place an order for one. This is the same casting, but cheapened so the back doors don't open. I got it for $8 on GoMotorBids.com, which is quite a bit cheaper than MSRP.
