#1, Not entirely.
As of late - the new Caprice is for police detail only and there are no stated plans for a public version.
That - and the G8 was a SWB Zeta whereas the Caprice will be a LWB Zeta. Expect handling and performance characteristics to vary noticibly.

#1, Yeah, there's the Caprice PPV (79645), which is essentially the police package, and the DP, this, which is like the police package, but without any exterior police equipment.
As OBS said, this is the LWB Zeta, essentially a rebadged Holden Caprice/Statesman (also sold in Korea as the Daewoo Veritas, and in China as the Buick Park Avenue)
Not for civilian sale, sadly... but you can bet there will be a small faction of people clamoring for these things when they're sold used as "ex-police vehicles"...
