I hate to say it, but I don't hate it.

Stylistically, it does work.

It's alright but it was dated before it was even released. If you'd shown that car in 1995 when curves were all the rage then it might have stood a chance.

I wonder how this would've sold if it had been made?

The late 90's Olds' were the point at which car styling really diverged from my personal tastes to the point that I started dreading what redesigns would bring and could only hope they wouldn't be too much uglier ..... The Alero/Aurora were the first cars I ever saw on the road that made me go "WHAT?" You CAN'T be serious!

#6, I don't think a convertible would have saved Olds.

I liked the Alero's styling then. I still like it now. The Intrigue was also rather nice... the 1st gen Aurora looked quite smart, not so much when they bloated up the styling for the 2nd-gen... the last years of the Bravada had the same bloated styling problems as the 2nd-gen Aurora, and the Silhouette was just a monotonous embarrassment by the end.

...that said, what Grumman did with the Alero headlights for their UPS truck restyle... what the FUCK were they thinking? I've noticed they've re-restyled their restyle, and now it has circular headlights again.

I always wondered why no N-body convertibles were made. This looks nice, as does that Grand Am concept.
