You don't see a lot of C-20 stepsides. Presumably most people who got the heavier-duty truck preferred the larger fleetside bed.

#2, I can find production numbers on Chevrolets of this time period, but not the GMCs. Apparently 7,666 C-20 stepsides were built for '68, compared to 60,646 C-20 fleetsides.

There used to be one of these near me that had an 8' stepside body, No idea if it was factory but it sure looked like it was.

My gramps had a 68 fleetside GMC truck with an 8ft bed, I believe the official/unofficial moniker was "longhorn"
