I've only ever seen one P'up-based LUV before: A faded red one that belonged to one of the faculty members at my high school.

There's a black one here in town, with a rusted-out bed, chewed up fenders, a missing front bumper, flats, and hasn't moved for a while.

Oddly, the only one I remember from when they arguably were "new" was an orange-brown Isuzu badged one that also belonged to school faculty

I still see tons of the actual Isuzu P'ups.....they sold well here, apparently. Two former friends of the family had them, one white and one tan, and I rode in both of them several times as a kid.

The ultimate rare bird around here is the Mitsu Mighty Max, I know of precisely, ONE, a red one, in pretty good shape, actually. You'd think it'd be the VW Rabbit Pickup, but I know of THREE of those (well, 2, the third one was wrecked last year) , and I also know of at least one surviving Dodge Rampage 2.2

#4, I still see a lot Mighty Maxes and Ram D-50s to this day. I know of one Rabbit pickup, and a local guy actually owns two Dodge Rampages.

On the other hand, cars that I almost never see: Audis and Subarus, of any sort.

#5, There's a Rampage I rarely see on my commute, someone by the fairgrounds has a Rabbit pickup. Someone had a Mighty Max down the street from my old high school, dunno if it's still there.

I see entirely too many Audis and Subarus out here. Someone at the BART station even has a yellow Baja that I see every now and then. I also occasionally see a blue Mazda Sundowner there and, more rarely, a white Ford Courier with a camper top. A yellow first-gen Courier lives near my grandma.

Datsun pickups are even harder to find, the last one I remember seeing was a beige one with 70s - tastic orange/brown stripes, that was already pretty much a mobile rust pile,(The outer bed skins were GONE, leaving only the inner box liner) and that was back in 1990....

I saw a 79 Datsun pickup that was last registered in 1985 once, the bed looked like swiss cheese.

I still see quite a few Datsun 720s here and there. As for the older "bullet side" 620s, I currently know of three: A dark green one up the road from me currently, a powder blue raised 4x4 with a Chevy V8, and an orange one in town with a white camper top. All are in good condition.

There was a decent white 620 King Cab that drove around here when I was little, but I haven't seen it in a few years. Also a primer gray 520 from the late '60s or early '70s, but I haven't seen it in even longer.

Saw a very early red LUV today, Pro Streeted with graphics and a chrome hood scoop and a healthy V8 rumble. Couldn't get a picture. :(

all the older cars in Michigan are either junk or garage queens. The snow n' salt just eats everything up. I've seen 10yo cars with rusting quarters. Underneath, my 16yo Roadmaster looked like the Titanic (after 99 years on the sea bottom).

#11, Not quite so bad here in PA, but rust still eats up things pretty quick. From what I've seen, Chrysler products are particularly bad at holding up to road salt, I've seen plenty of Caravans and Sebrings that have rust starting to bubble up on the quarters at the 7 or 8 year mark and by the 10 year mark, it's in full bloom.
