Nice car. :) Careful with the loud pedal though, pretty sure these take premium fuel.

Most carmakers of this era offered optional foglights.

I think you have knotweed by your drivers door. It will steal your car.

#1, Thanks, that's what caught my eye at the dealership

#4, I know, they're ridiculous. The right one's broken, I had to order a replacement.

#6, I'm in Detroit, knotweed is the last thing I have to worry about stealing my car...but it has been trimmed back.

I fell into a deal on a 1994 Bonneville for $125 about a month ago. It had been in a minor accident and had cosmetic damage which I fixed over a period of a couple weekends. I drove it for one and a half tanks of gas, and she spun a rod bearing (On my honeymoon) And I don't mean it developed a knock, I mean it tore itself the hell apart on the side of the road in a dramatic clanky clash of bangs and pounding sounds. Easy come, easy go.

That all being said, I was really growing warm to the car when she went and I was sad to see it go. It was even hard just to stay awake driving home after work with those big, soft, comfy seats and slow springy suspension. It was more comfortable than my living room.

Good luck with yours :)

There was a guy autocrossing a 1995 Town Car at the last car show I went to. He got the car for free and it just needed a $130 torque converter to get it roadworthy. It's beat up and ugly but that sucker goes.

#10, Thanks, mines in great shape, only about 110,000 on the odometer which is FAR less than the last couple of cars I've driven, especially considering the age. I heard the L67 has some electrical problem but rod bearings a new one on me.

#12, I used to own a 99' Grand Prix with a L32 motor swap. At 110k, you can definitely mod it for more power. Lotta aftermarket parts available for it for cheap. Downpipe, high flow cat, CAI, cooler plugs and a smaller pulley. You can get 300+ tq with only cheap mods. That iron motor will last you 200k+ if you do the regular oil changes.

As far as electrical problems, not really. Just make sure the fuse box's big wire is on nice and snug.
Only use stock coils and wires. No real engine issues.

#16, Yup, to a scrap yard...

And before I get any flack from anybody:

I paid it off 6 months early, then the front engine mounts (among a half dozen other things) went; I'd already put $2000 into it and I couldn't foot the bill for any more repairs in good conscience. It was in storage for the entire winter in MI, I've moved twice since this picture was taken. I may have been able to clear a thousand bucks if I went the Craigslist route but I just don't give a shit any more. My family has 4 cars for 4 people now, I'm probably going to wind up driving a 1999 Mercury cougar or a 1997 Ford Ranger for the spring. I'll save myself an insurance/car payment for a few months anyways. So now I will continue to look

#17, The pains of living in the rustbelt; I hear you there. Not fun. We just got a bunch of snow after being in the 40s/50s/60s for a couple weeks. Ah Minnesota. :/
