Just about as badass as a current Taurus can look. Nice.

Ok, well, maybe a brushguard would make it more evil.

After constantly seeing these at work, parked next to Chargers, Caprices, and old Crown Vics, I must say, I'm not quite as enamored with these as I once was.

They're tall, bloated, slab-sided... there's just soooo much sheet-metal... unless an agency designs a livery specifically for it, their "normal" stripes/decals/etc look miniscule. These look particularly underwhelming if they're in a white livery.

For some reason, despite having very similar body-shape and styling, the Interceptor Utility doesn't appear to look as bad.

Spoke with one of the more seasoned officers from a local agency a few nights ago... he's driving an Interceptor, and he hates it. He says it's the most cramped front-seat area of any available patrol car. He desperately misses his Crown Victoria.

Many local agencies (such as Melbourne and Cocoa Beach) are moving to Chargers... but SBPD is headed towards these... http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/sbpdinterceptor.jpg

Ugh.

I'm a 6 foot 3 inch tall guy, a bit pudgy. I driven an RCMP Crown Vic Interceptor (moving it at a tire shop), and it was super cramped. Mostly because of the cabin divider cage in between front and rear seats. i had to drive it fetal position. theres honestly more room in the back seat too (ridden there not by choice. long story, no crimes)

#6, Well, from word of mouth, I found out why they're moving to Interceptors for all their new patrol vehicle purchases... apparently they blew their budget sky high by purchasing V8 Chargers (and maintenance costs for the V8 Charger versus the Interceptor are higher, apparently)... the budget blow was to such an extent than the City Council seriously threatened to disband the Department and bring in the County Sheriff for city law enforcement. Yikes.
