#7, They're seeking public validation of their purchase - which is at the core of every conspicuous consumer.
The worst of the worst iPhone users will loudly screech at you when you remind them an iPhone is just another mass-produced consumer electronic. It's simultaneously satisfying and alarming. |

#10, As for logos - I'll double down on Apple and say that every macbook that has an illuminated logo on the lid is as equally as vulgar as an RGB gaming laptop. Then the worst of the worst will instantly jump in to defend the poor consumer laptop with the most accessible buzzword they know:
"Minimalist"
It's not minimalistic if your mass-produced consumer electronic has an illuminated logo. In fact - the less there is of the logo - the better.
Stealth wealth can't take over fast enough. |

#12, Regardless - logos and emblems shouldn't be illuminated like a Thai red-light district - unless that was the intent. |
