Honestly - I think there was a time when cars could get away with garish factory paint and nobody would give a shit.

I think that time was 2005 - because when you see one of these in 'Citrus Peel' - you'll feel like the car belongs in that year.

#1, You raise a very valid point... that was my feeling about seeing this car in that color, but I couldn't quite figure out WHY until your post...

I dont know, I kinda like this silly outlandish color. but thats just me. it kinda suits the angry look of the car. bt then again, it kinda reminds me of a neon.

I have mixed feelings about these. They're the new ricer car here, and pretty much every one I see now is terribly, cheaply modified or is sitting by a sideyard with a blown engine (as in, engine went kaput, not turboed or supercharged)

A nicely styled little car that isn't on anyone's short list on the used market. My biggest impression of these was when I whacked my head on the roof getting into one for the first time. It's one of the reasons why I still have my Focus... I like interior space, headroom and visibility.

#7, Similarly, a friend of a friend has a 200C that I rode in... yeah, had to REALLY duck to get into the backseat.

That said, I still think the Dart and 200C were very handsome sedans in an era of grotesque styling excess.

I seriously considered looking at a metallic blue Dart GT Carmax had listed a few months before I got the Elantra. I wasn't really very serious about getting another car at the time, though; that ended up being a very last-minute decision.

#8, That reminds me... at least, when I got into the back of the 200C after ducking, I was reasonably comfortable.

My uncle rented a Mercedes CLA. Had to duck to get in the back, and I literally did not have enough room to sit with my neck straight. Couldn't even crouch down in the seat, as my knees were pressed against the seat in front. I've never been in a car that did not have enough room for an actual human being... and I've ridden in the back of a VW Cabrio!

#10, Three worst back seats I've been in had to be the Scion FR-S, 2005-present Mustang and Cadillac CTS coupe. The 4th and 5th gen Camaros were pretty terrible as well. You haven't lived until you've crammed yourself into the back sideways-facing jump seat of a 1992 Ranger extended cab! :D

#11, I've done both the 4th-gen Camaro and sideways jump seats in a Ranger. Both were acceptable... marginally.

Admittedly, I was only, like, 12-14 with the Ranger.

#13, I imagine sitting in those jumpseats in your 30s probably feels like you're being transported from Tijuana to San Diego... not exactly legally.

#11, I did the Ranger thing from age 5 to about 12 :D Not fun on 100-120 mile trips through Kansas in June.

Trying riding crammed in the leaky hatch of a 280ZX on a rainy day, covered with a blanket so highway patrol can't see you through the back window. I did that one for a couple of years.

#19, Nah, normally it would be trips to town to go to the store or whatever. Only two seats, but frequently there were three occupants.
