We towed this boat out of a barn it'd been sitting in since 94' earlier in the week. Guy who bought it was hoping it would be restorable. Unfortunately, when the tires went flat and it accordingly sat itself on the ground fresh air couldn't get in, and moisture couldn't get out, without making holes. The frame's a total loss, and with it goes the car.

Seems like the panels and interior parts could be salvaged, couldn't they?

#2, It's just about all there, and straight, and only the foamcore (or whatever that material is) that forms the middle of the non-chrome "nose" piece is degraded to the point it can't be reused on something else.

oh, the "Enduraflex" plastic or whatever it is? Seems to disintegrate quite a bit; I can remember seeing second-generation Firebirds with the nosecone broken and taillight/bumper surrounds broken, too.

#4, It's some weird hybrid of plastic and foam that over time shrinks under UV exposure until it splits, and turns into powdery grit that flakes off to the the touch. Whatever it is, it doesn't age well.
