...wow.

I remember seeing prototype bodykits for these about a decade ago... didn't know there were actually any in the wild...

Yeah, that pretty much doesn't work at all. If you're gonna go retro, at least choose a car with roofline more suitable to the fastback shape....like a '68-'72 GTO bodykit.

This is what's was wrong with Pontiac's fans. Even when you gave them what they wanted with the best GM could offer at the time - they still uphold cars from the past as being a more loftier standard that no present offering from GM could ever beat; that they exist only to be subordinate to the past and not serve to advance and promote the craft.

"Hey Paul - you wonder why fewer and fewer people show up at your regional Pontiac owners meeting each year? It's not because the brand was scuttled. Maybe it's because you've actively turned away owners with cars newer than 1980 saying 'that anit a real Pontiac. My is 75' GP is!'."

The weird thing is I remember the GTO-based Chevelle kit. I don't remember a '66-67 Nova kit, and such a thing makes no sense given that the Nova roofline looked NOTHING like that.
