Wasnt' the Seville that odd little midzied Caddy, about as big as an 80's Chevy Malibu?, had that really odd "doorstop" shaped rear end, I think the Sedan de Ville was the big ol' boat car

#75, This rumor has been overthrown.

in 1903 pepsi came about. Seeing the whole ordeal as an uphill battle against Coke - pepsi spread numorious rumors about them to throw off potential investers and draw them to pepsi. Such as coke is made in dirty containers and it contains cocaine. Coke never did contain cocaine. As a result - Coke unsussessfuly tried to sue them in 1924 for slander. The case was thrown out because coke didn't want to reveal their the secret ingreadent (known as ingreadent 7X) to the compeition. But repeated test by appointed sciencetists revealed no cocaine was present. At the time Coke had over 50 different "impostors" and Coke didn't want to give any of them the upperhand.

Since nobody won - Coke still retained it's investors and pepsi still sucked. The end.

#76, Did you not read the link? They show the research they've done, and they include a bibliography.

Coca-Cola was originally made using a combination of Coca and Kola leaves, hence the name. Coca leaves makes....gasp....cocaine. Coca Cola continued to contain small traces (very small) of cocaine until 1929 when they stopped manufacturing it with coca leaves. Coca Cola was originally used for medical purposes, and many medical products contained cocaine around the turn of the century, so it's unlikely that would be considered a "dirty rumor" in 1903.
