I'm sorta regretting not stretching my budget and getting an Abarth... my 1.4L is absolutely gutless, even worse than the Mazda. :(

#1, I'm surprised the base engine in the US is not the turbo 120hp (I think) that used to be the range topper in Punto a while back.

#1, Had a heart-to-heart with my brother-in-law, the amateur racer/autocross aficionado... he laid out the facts to me, and relayed that I would have been unhappy with the Abarth. For that style of turbo engine, it is only ONLY faster when pushed hard, otherwise it might actually feel slower/sluggish in everyday driving... and the seats/suspension/exhaust note would have grown very tiresome very quickly.

#5, This is why I discouraged my friend from putting the Ford Racing autocross suspension kit in his 3cyl EcoBoost Fiesta. I told him that he would quickly get tired of a car that beats him up just in everyday commuting. Even the 17" SVT wheels he wants for it might hurt his ride quality since it eats up quite a bit of tire sidewall. But anything would handle better than the OEM economy tires that are on it.
