Description:
Traded the Genesis for this two days ago, but it's been a busy couple of days, so this has been the soonest I could get pictures.

#20, Still enjoying it. No particular issues, other than rarely the bluetooth or cruise control won't work until I restart the car. |

This poor car just got royally fucked up by huge chunks of ice falling off the TV tower at work. Pictures coming this evening. |

#24, It's comprehensive. Complicating things is the fact that apparently the TV station is liable. Geico told me that they'll handle the claim, then seek compensation from the station's insurer, and management here has pretty much confirmed it.
Much like when the Genesis was damaged by that deer, Geico will reimburse me for a rental, as well. But I've got to wait for the claims adjuster to show up and examine the car, then tow it to to the IAA lot in Jackson. I can leave it at work in the meantime; Geico has advised me not to drive it due to the shattered glass. |

#26, Last Hyundai rental I had was a loaner car from the dealer. Brand new Palisade but a base model. Wasn't bad, but a bit big for my liking for a solo occupant. |

My last rental was a Versa, which got the job done. |

Not bad. Velosters are nice save for the blind spot. And I don't know about the second generation, but the first one felt claustrophobic, especially in the rear. |

#30, A Veloster Turbo R is probably my top choice for a replacement, if it comes to that. I could probably afford to finance a new one now.
The Elantra GT N-line is also kind of interesting...same price and drivetrain as the Veloster R, but a little more attractive and "grown up," at the expense of some sportiness. Also *very* similar to the car I'd be replacing, which is a plus, since I really don't want to replace it.
The Kia Forte GT manual also has similar specs at the same price.
A secondhand Toyota 86 or Mustang Ecoboost are also interesting propositions. |

#33, What's so bad about the BRZ?
The Mustang is a big car, more suited to a V8, but the power-to-weight ratio is probably better than the Elantra's. |

#38, Apparently they pretty much just got this one. Manufactured 12/2020, 627 miles on it at the time of rental, and the owner's manual has never been taken out of its clear plastic cover.
Enterprise only had two cars on the lot: The Mazda, or a white Elantra of the gen I own. They offered the Mazda, and I readily accepted. |
